ATHENS, Tenn. - Freshman Brittany Pfaff collected her best career finish to lead the Taylor women's golf team at the Tennessee Wesleyan Invitational on Tuesday.
Pfaff followed up her career-low round of 86 yesterday with an 87 in the final round to finish tied for eighth in the 42-player field with a two-round total of 173. Sophomore Elaina Mellott added a 100 and freshman Libby Hansen finished with a 102 while junior Marisa Williamson shaved 19 shots off her round one score to tally a 114 to round out Taylor's team score of 403.
The Trojans improved 12 shots from their team score in round one but finished in eighth place in the eight-team field.
Taylor will continue its spring break at Saddlebrook Resort near Tampa, Fla. Before returning to action on April 4-5 at the University of Saint Francis Invitational at Brookwood Golf Course in Fort Wayne, Ind.
