FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Taylor women's golf team set a new program record with a team score of 372 in the rain-shortened Saint Francis Invitational on Saturday.
Freshman Brittany Pfaff carded a career-low round of 85 helped Taylor shatter the previous school record by 13 shots as the Trojans finished tenth in the 12 team field. Fellow freshman Libby Hansen also posted a career-best round with an 89 while sophomore Elaina Mellott added a 93 and junior Marisa Williamson rounded out TU's scoring with a 105.
The Trojans finished just seven shots behind the hosts from Saint Francis while Saint Francis (Ill.) won the event with a score of 314.
The Trojans are back in action again next Friday and Saturday at the Battle at Blackthorn hosted by Bethel College at Blackthorn Country Club in South Bend.
