PERU, Ind. - The Taylor women's golf team will compete in the Crossroads League Championship held at Rock Hollow Golf Club on Friday and Saturday, April 25-26.
The 54-hole event will begin on Friday morning with the first set of teams teeing off at 8:30 am. Taylor's Marisa Williamson will be the first TU player on the course as the junior tees off at 8:40 on Friday morning. The rest of the Trojans will follow Williamson onto the course.
Bethel claimed the 2013 Crossroads League championship, the first season for women's golf as a Crossroads League sport, and the Pilots enter this year's tournament ranked 14th in the latest NAIA Coaches Top 25 poll. Taylor finished sixth at last year's tournament.
Sophomore Elaina Mellott was Taylor's top performer in last year's championship, finishing in 16th place with a two-round total of 189. Freshmen Brittany Pfaff and Libby Hansen have each posted strong finishes during the spring season and should challenge for All-Crossroads League honors.
