SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Taylor women's golf team improved on its score on the final day of the Battle at Blackthorn to finish in seventh place.
Sophomore Brittany Pfaff carded a final round 86 while freshman Grace Elenbaas and sophomore Libby Hansen added a pair of 90's and freshman Courtney Feagans turned in a 94 as the Trojans carded a team score of 360 on day two. Pfaff and Elenbaas finished the event with two-day totals of 178 to finish in a tie for 23rd in the 50-player field.
The Trojans shaved eight shots off their first round score of 368 and held their position of seventh place in the nine-team field. Madonna University claimed the team title led by Chelsea Collura who shot a two-day total of 149 to finish in a tie for first place with Saint Xavier's Taylor Thompson.
The Trojans are back in action at the University of Saint Francis Invitational on Sept. 26-27 at Autumn Ridge and Cherry Hills golf courses.
