GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Cornerstone Golden Eagles were too much for Taylor men's tennis Saturday, as the Trojans suffered a 9-0 loss.

It was the final regular season match for the Trojans and their second match in as many days after edging Davenport 5-4 yesterday.

Carlos Guarin was the only Trojan to win a set in a three-set loss at No. 1 singles. Guarin won the first set 6-2 before Cornerstone's Elijah Yi regrouped to win the second set 6-4. With the team match winner already being decided, the two played a ten-point tiebreaker, with Yi prevailing 10-6.

Freshman Jacob Scott received his first singles play in a dual match at No. 6 singles, falling 6-2, 6-3 to Andrew Son.

Taylor (3-9, 2-6 CL) will travel to Grace this upcoming Tuesday for its Crossroads League Tournament quarterfinal match with the Lancers. Taylor is the No. 6 seed in the tournament, while Grace is the No. 3 seed. Taylor will be looking to upset Grace, who beat the Trojans 7-2 earlier in the season.
