KOKOMO, Ind. – Senior libero Kelsey Arvin became the fifth player in Taylor history to top the 2,000 career digs mark but it wasn't enough as as IU-Kokomo handed Taylor a 3-1 loss on Wednesday evening.

The Trojans (23-11) opened the match with a 25-17 victory but the Cougars from IU-Kokomo rattled off three consecutive victories (25-22, 25-20, 25-22) en route to their 17th consecutive victory.

Taylor struggled to find an offensive rhythm as the Trojans connected on just 30 kills and committed 17 hitting errors in 110 total attacks. Sophomores Kelly Arnold and Jessi Arbuckle led the way for the TU offense with seven kils each while senior Jackie Close added six. Junior Julia Willey added 28 assists from her setter position.

Arvin led Taylor with 24 digs to move into fifth on Taylor's all-time list with 2,022 career digs.

The Trojans will wrap up the regular season on Saturday as the Trojans host Rio Grande and Trinity Christian. Taylor will honor seniors Kelsey Arvin and Jackie Close prior to the first match of the day at 1:00 pm.
