HARTFORD CITY, Ind. – Taylor's Allison Steinbeck was named the Crossroads League women's indoor track athlete of the week, the league office announced today.
Steinbeck, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, began her indoor track season with a victory over an impressive field at the University of Indianapolis Greyhound Classic on Saturday. Steinbeck posted a time of 18:43.94 en route to a victory in the 5,000 Meter Run in a field that featured a majority of NCAA Division II athletes.
This is the first time Steinbeck has been honored as the indoor track athlete of the week. She was honored by the Crossroads League on Oct. 13, 2013 as the cross country runner of the week.
Steinbeck and the Trojans will continue their indoor season this Saturday at Indiana Wesleyan in the Wildcat Invitational.
