Crossroads Release I Taylor Athletic Honors Page

HARTFORD CITY, Ind. – Leslie Romer of Taylor men's track and field and Allison Steinbeck of Taylor women's track and field each were recognized by the Crossroads League as Track Athletes of the Week after performances in the Butler Invitational.

 

Romer enjoyed a busy but productive day for the Taylor men. The sophomore established a new school record in the 100-meter dash en route to a victory in the 28-runner event with a time of 10.67, hitting the B-standard and provisionally qualifying for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. Romer added a second place finish in the 200-meter dash while also running for the Trojans in both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

 

Steinbeck, a senior, finished third in the Sam Costa half-marathon in a field of 197 runners and automatically qualified for the NAIA Nationals with a time of 1:26.40.

 

The Crossroads League release is provided above along with the Taylor Athletics Honors page. Taylor track and field will be back in action on Saturday, March 28 at the Emory Invitational in Atlanta.
