SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Taylor women's golf team posted its lowest round of the spring season with a score of 344 during the first round of the Pilot Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Club on Friday.

Sophomore Brittany Pfaff carded a round of 82 to lead the Trojans in round one while fellow sophomore Libby Hansen added an 84 for TU. Freshman Grace Elenbaas added an 85 and the Trojans got a pair of 93's from freshman Courtney Feagans and senior Lauren Anderson to round out the scoring. The team score of 344 is just three shots shy of the TU all-time low score of 341 which was established back in the fall.

The Trojans are in sixth place in the eight-team field. Saint Francis (Ill.) leads after the opening round at 313 while Olivet Nazarene (318) and Bethel (323) round out the top three. The Trojans are just ten shots behind fourth place Grand View and nine shots behind Saint Xavier (Ill.).
