INDIANAPOLIS – The Taylor women's golf team is set to compete in the 2015 Crossroads League women's golf championship scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Indianapolis.
The 54-hole tournament will feature all seven Crossroads League women's golf teams with the team champion and individual medalist receiving the Crossroads League's automatic bids to the NAIA National Championships in May.
The Trojans, who finished fifth in last year's championship, are paired with Indiana Wesleyan and Mount Vernon Nazarene for the first day of competition which will include 27 holes.
Senior Lauren Anderson will be the first Trojan to put the ball in the air when she tee's off at 9:18 am. Freshmen Courtney Feagans (9:27 am) and Grace Elenbaas (9:36 am) will be next off for TU followed by the Trojans top two players, sophomores Libby Hansen (9:45 am) and Brittany Pfaff (9:54 am).
Pfaff was the top performer for the Trojans during last year's championship when she finished 11th, one spot shy of earning All-League honors. Marian edged Bethel to claim the tournament title last year with Indiana Wesleyan claiming third and Saint Francis finishing in fourth.
Teams will be repaired based on Monday's results for the final 27 holes on Tuesday with play beginning at 9:00 am.
