ANGOLA, Ind. – The Taylor men's golf team will tee it up at the Crossroads League Championship this week at Glendarin Hills Golf Club.
The 54-hole tournament begins on Monday and will be played over two days on the 6,877-yard, par-72 layout in Angola, Indiana.
The Trojan line-up will feature two seniors and three freshmen as TU seniors Nate Scheibe and Tucker Fahlen will each tee it up in their third career Crossroads League Championship and Taylor's trio of freshmen- Mitch Lamping, Trey Turner, and Nick Waskom- will make their Crossroads League Championship debuts.
Fahlen will lead the Trojans off on Monday morning when the senior puts his tee shot in the air at 8:00 am. The Trojans are paired with Bethel and Spring Arbor for the first two rounds on Monday. Schebe, who earned All-Crossroads League honors last season, will be next off at 8:10 am followed by Turner at 8:20 am, Waskom at 8:30 am, and Lamping at 8:40 am.
The Trojans finished second to Indiana Wesleyan at last year's championship and will be looking for their first conference title since 1998.
Teams are scheduled to play 36 holes of continuous golf on Monday before returning to the course for the final 18 holes on Tuesday morning. The team champion and individual medalist for the championship will earn the Crossroads League's automatic birth to the NAIA National Championship.
