NEW ORLEANS – The Taylor women's track and field team fell one spot, checking in at No. 20 in the NAIA National Team Computer Rankings released by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this week.
The National Team Computer rankings are determined by the USTFCCCA computers using preseason event rankings that include the top marks of the recent NAIA indoor track & field seasons by returning student-athletes and the top marks of the young 2016 campaign. Marks from the outdoor season are not included, nor are marks from incoming freshmen until they compete in a collegiate meet.
Taylor was ranked No. 19 in the first rankings of the season in January. TU is currently the top ranked team in the Crossroads League with Marian also appearing in the rankings at No. 23. The Trojans are schedule to compete each of the next two Saturdays to wrap up the indoor regular season before the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships on 3-5 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
