ANGOLA, Ind.– The Taylor women's tennis team captured a 9-0 victory over Trine University on Friday, improving its overall record to 10-6.

Freshman Taelor Grose played on the No. 1 singles court for the Trojans, defeating the Thunder's Lexi Mack 6-2, 6-4. Grose and freshman Courtney Clark stepped up for TU at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-3 over Trine.

"For as little practice as the weather has allowed, our girls played great tennis," Taylor head coach Jini Morgan said. "They had to adjust to a sport court surface, where the ball was slower and died on contact."

Taylor's match at Indiana University East on Saturday, April 2 has been cancelled due to expected rain. The Trojans will continue their spring season when they travel to Grace College for an 11 a.m. match on Saturday, April 9.
