SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Taylor men's soccer (1-1) suffered the first blemish of 2016 on Wednesday night, losing 1-0 to Lawrence Tech.
Lawrence Tech struck first with a goal in the 36th minute and would not relinquish the lead the rest of the way.
The Trojans managed to equal the Blue Devils in shots on goal with four, but the Blue Devils had the overall shot advantage with 11 compared to TU's five. Sam Hardy led Taylor with two shot attempts, both on goal.
TU had its fair share of opportunities from the Lawrence Tech side of the field, topping LTU in corner kicks eight to two, including six to zero in the second half.
In the goal, Luke Williams recorded two saves in his Taylor debut.
The Trojans will be back in action at 5:00 pm on Saturday, as they visit Robert Morris (0-0) looking to rebound from their first loss of the season.
