ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Taylor men's soccer team scored three second half goals to overcome a halftime deficit and defeat Robert Morris 3-1 on Saturday.

 

RMU (0-1) opened up the scoring with a goal in the 29th minute, but Taylor (2-1) responded with three scores of its own in the second half to secure the win.

 

TU tied the game at 1-1 in the 66th minute when Lewis Nisbet found the back of the net off of a penalty kick for his first goal of the season. Nisbet led the Trojans in scoring a year ago.

 

In the 73rd minute, Joey Pfeifer set up Gonzalo Iglesias for Taylor's second goal of the contest, giving the Trojans a 2-1 lead.

 

Iglesias' second goal of the game came in the 88th minute when Nate West found him on a breakaway, giving Taylor a 3-1 road victory.

 

Luke Williams logged three saves in the goal for the victors.

 

Next up for the Trojans is a home game at Turner Stadium against Judson (0-0-1) at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 1st.
