FINDLAY, Ohio. – The Mid-States Football Association named Taylor's Brandon Haan as the Mideast League Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday.

Haan averaged 43.5 yards per punt over four tries to help Taylor control field position in its 41-28 win at Davenport on Saturday. The senior boomed two tries over 50 yards and pinned the Panthers inside their own 20-yard line once.

The weekly honor is the second career award for Haan, who was also highlighted once during the 2014 campaign.

Haan joins Jeremiah Rader of the TU men's soccer squad as the two Trojans to receive a player-of-the-week award so far this year.

Haan and the Trojans (1-0) will be back in action on Saturday, when they play at Malone (0-0) in a 2:00 pm start.
