UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor men's soccer team (2-2-2) suffered its first home loss of 2016 on Wednesday, falling to Indiana Tech 3-1.


Indiana Tech (3-0) controlled most of the first half, notching a 13-0 advantage over TU in shots and netting one goal for a 1-0 halftime lead.


The Trojans responded in the second half with a goal from Nate West in the 55th minute to knot the score at 1-1. Jeremiah Rader put the ball in play with a corner kick, and the ball bounced off several players before West pounded it in the back of the net.


The Warriors netted a goal in the 64th and 87th minute to seal the win for the visitors.


Luke Williams registered eight saves for the Trojans in the loss.


Taylor will be back in action on Saturday when the team travels to Detroit, Michigan, to take on Marygrove (2-1-1) at 3:00 pm.
