CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Taylor's Matt Hall and Joseph Beamish logged top-10 showings at the Cedarville Invitational on Saturday morning, as the No. 13 Trojans led all NAIA rosters and finished fourth overall at the 10-team meet.
NCAA Division II programs Cedarville (36) and Alabama-Huntsville (66) took first and second in the team standings, with Division I Cincinnati (77) claiming third. Taylor took fourth with 78 points and a time of 134:04, easily defeating fellow NAIA programs Cumberlands (145) and Wilberforce (299) at the meet.
Hall claimed second overall with a time of 25:31.3, just six seconds off the pace of Cedarville's Daniel Michalski. Beamish followed in eighth at 26:32.8 and Jonathan Taylor crossed in 24th at 27:17.9.
Hall, Beamish and Taylor formed TU's top-three in that order for the second-straight race, while Benjamin Byrd finished 25th, Tanner Dye took 26th, Aaron Scott claimed 29th and Hunter Smith ended in 31st to round out Taylor's top-seven.
No. 13 Taylor (16-3) will return to action on October 1, when it races at the Greater Louisville Classic.
