INDIANAPOLIS – The Crossroads League announced its top performers of the week on Tuesday, naming Taylor's Mae Elizabeth Gimre as its Female Runner of the Week after the sophomore paced the No. 7 Trojans at the Cedarville Invite.

Gimre crossed the line with a personal-best time of 18:38.4 to finish as the top NAIA competitor at the 10-team event. Gimre took fourth overall, while securing a second-straight top-10 finish to open her sophomore campaign.

The honor is the first for Gimre in her career and the first for the TU women's cross country program this fall. Gimre was joined by Matt Hall of the TU men's cross country team and Haley Harrell of TU volleyball in being recognized this week by the Crossroads League.

Gimre and the No. 7 Trojans (19-2) will be back in action on October 1, when they compete at the Greater Louisville Classic.
