FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Taylor women's golf team carded a final round team score of 334 to finish in seventh place at the Saint Francis Fall Invitational on Saturday.
Freshman Annie Stimmel led the way for the Trojans on Saturday with an 8-over par round of 80. Senior Brittany Pfaff added an 81 on Saturday while freshman Maddie Thomas carded an 82 during the final round. Junior Grace Elenbaas and sophomore Raquel Helton both shot 91 during the final round.
Stimmel, Pfaff, and Thomas each finished in a tie for 16th place with two-round totals of 158. Helton finished in a tie for 46th (83-91) and Elenbaas finished in a tie for 50th (86-91).
The Trojans entered the final round in fifth place after a record-breaking score during Friday's first round but TU fell behind the pace as Cleary and #RV Olivet Nazarene surged ahead of the Trojans during the final round.
Taylor finished in seventh place while Northwestern Ohio took home the team title with a two round total of 604 (295-309).
Saint Francis's Marissa Singer claimed medalist honors with a two-round total of two-under 142 (72-70).
The Trojans will be back in action next weekend when TU travels to Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Indiana for the Battle at Blackthorn on Friday and Saturday.
