INDIANAPOLIS – The Taylor men's tennis team went 3-1 last week and senior Juan Ramirez was rewarded by the Crossroads League, earning the Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors, announced Tuesday morning by the league office.

Ramirez finished 5-3 for the Trojans at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles against Grace College, Spring Arbor University, Goshen College and Davenport University last week. The Ibarra, Ecuador-native went 4-0 in Taylor's doubleheader on Saturday. His 8-5 overall record at No. 1 singles has helped TU sit third in Crossroads League standings with only one league match remaining before the conference tournament.

This is the first time Taylor (5-5, 5-2 CL) has had a player earn weekly honors since Devin Moore in the 2014-2015 season. Ramirez received Player of the Week honors in April of his freshman campaign in 2014.

The Trojans will host their final Crossroads League regular season match on Tuesday, September 27 against Indiana Wesleyan University at Meier Tennis Courts. Action will begin at 4 pm (ET).
