MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – On a wet and sloppy Wednesday afternoon, the Taylor men's soccer team fell to Mount Vernon Nazarene, 1-0, in a Crossroads League matchup.

 

Neither team could gain an edge in the first half, with both teams attempting seven shots and coming up empty on all of those shots.

 

The lone goal of the match came from Mount Vernon (8-2-1, 1-1 CL) in the final minute of the match to seal the win for the hosts. The Trojans were outshot 13 to five in the second half.

 

Gabe Saliba led the team with five shots attempted, including two on goal, while Luke Williams performed well in the net, recording seven saves.

 

TU (2-7-2, 0-2 CL) will be back in action on Saturday when Grace (6-1-2, 1-0 CL) comes to Turner Stadium at 7:00 pm.
