SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – After setting the program record for number of wins to start a season, the Taylor women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season at No. 1 Spring Arbor on Saturday, falling 6-0. The match was called with 14:14 remaining due to lightning.

The Trojans (9-1, 2-1 CL) could not muster enough scoring opportunities to keep up with the firepower of Spring Arbor (10-0, 3-0 CL). The Cougars outshot TU 23-5 for the contest, including 13-2 in the opening stanza.

Spring Arbor has only surrendered one goal this season, which came in a 2-1 victory over then-No. 2 Lindsey Wilson.

20th-ranked Taylor will return to action on Wednesday, October 5, at 4:00 pm in a matchup against Bethel (4-7, 0-3 CL).
