PLYMOUTH, Ind. – Senior Brittany Pfaff carded a round of 79 to pace the Taylor women's golf team on day one of the Swan Lake Intercollegiate hosted by Taylor at Swan Lake Resort.
With a 7-over par 79 Pfaff is tied for tenth in the 73-player field. Taylor also got an 83 from sophomore Elizabeth Jackson and an 84 from sophomore Raquel Helton while freshmen Annie Stimmel and Maddie Thomas added an 85 and 87, respectively.
The Trojans carded a team score of 331 and sit tied for fifth after day one with IU East. No. 17 Marian leads the team standings after day one with a 308 followed by Saint Francis (319), Cardinal Stritch (320), and Bethel (323).
Marian's Annie Getzin leads the individual medalist race at 74 followed by teammate Emily Tilton and Saint Francis's Marissa Singer at 76.
The Trojans are back on the course Saturday for the final round of the Swan Lake Intercollegiate with tee times beginning at 10:00 am.
