INDIANAPOLIS – For the third time in as many races, TU's Mae Elizabeth Gimre has been selected as the Crossroads League Female Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Gimre ran a time of 18:19 to finish third of 165 and helped seventh-ranked Taylor claim second place in the team standings behind third-ranked Aquinas at the Bethel Invitational on Friday, October 7. Gimre's time was a new personal best and was the fifth-fastest individual time in TU program history, while highlighting the seventh-best team time in program history.

Gimre has raced to new personal bests in each of Taylor's last three races, owns TU's top-two individual times of the season, has finished top-five in three-of-four races and boasts an individual win-loss mark of 791-19 through the first four outings of the season.

The honor is the third for Gimre this season and gives Taylor a total of 18 individual weekly honors from the Crossroads League and Mid-States Football Association during the fall seasons.

Gimre and the Trojans (70-5) will be back in action on October 22, when they race at the Great Lakes Invite in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
