INDIANAPOLIS – The Crossroads League announced on Tuesday that Taylor's Nikki Zaino has been named the league's Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Zaino scored twice and dished a pair of assists last week, leading No. 19 TU to a 2-0 record, highlighted with a 3-0 win over RV Marian on Saturday in the NAIA Match of the Week. The junior had a hand in all three goals in the win over Marian, assisting on the first goal of the game and scoring the final two goals.

The two goals and five points against the Knights were both single-game career-highs for Zaino, giving Zaino the team-lead in both goals (5) and points (12) this season.

Zaino is the third different TU women's soccer player to win a player-of-the-week award this season, and the weekly honor is the first of Zaino's career.

Zaino and the 19th-ranked Trojans (11-1, 4-1 CL) will travel to Goshen on Tuesday to take on the Maple Leafs (6-6-2, 2-2-1 CL) at 7:00 pm.
