UPLAND, Ind. – Behind Gabe Saliba's career-high three points, the Taylor men's soccer team produced its second Crossroads League win of the season in a 2-1 victory over Goshen at Turner Stadium on Wednesday night.

Goshen (4-6-4, 2-3-1 CL) wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, scoring the match's opening goal in the 11th minute.

The Trojans (4-9-2, 2-4 CL) outshot Goshen 8-6 in the opening 45 minutes, but the Maple Leafs still held a 1-0 lead at the break.

In the second half, TU dominated the shot tally, 12-5, and was able to turn those opportunities into scores. Saliba netted the equalizer off of a booming punt by the keeper Luke Williams in the 67th minute, giving Williams the first assist of his career.

Gonzalo Iglesias scored the game-winner just over 15 minutes later, courtesy of a lob pass from Saliba over the keeper's head, and the Trojan defense held firm for the final 8:21 to secure the 2-1 win.

In the net for the Trojans, Williams recorded four saves to go along with the one assist.

Taylor (4-9-2, 2-4 CL) will make a short road trip for their next match, traveling to Indiana Wesleyan (7-5-2, 2-3-1 CL) to take on the Wildcats on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
