UPLAND, Ind. – In the final home match of the regular season, the Taylor women's soccer team delivered a record-breaking win in electrifying fashion, topping Saint Francis, 1-0, on a goal by Bailey Zehr only 14 seconds into overtime.

With the win, the 16th-ranked Trojans (14-1, 7-1 CL) set the program record for most wins in a single season, secured a top-two seed in the Crossroads League tournament and finished the regular season with an unblemished home record.

TU started slowly, but began to assert control of possession when a weather delay was called with 21:22 remaining in the first half. After 40 minutes, the whistle sounded to resume play, and the Trojans retained their control of the ball until the halftime horn. Taylor outshot Saint Francis (6-9-2, 2-5-1 CL) seven to one in the opening 45 minutes of action, but could not break the 0-0 tie.

The second half was more evenly matched, with the Trojans notching eight shots to USF's five. Shannon Jacobsen had the best chance at breaking the tie eight minutes into the second half, but her shot caromed off the top of the crossbar.

The overtime session ended almost immediately after it started. Taylor booted the ball on the kickoff towards the corner flag on the visitor's side of the field, Zehr corralled it, took a couple dribbles and maneuvered a shot into the upper left corner of the net for the game-winner.

No. 16 Taylor (14-1, 7-1 CL) will travel to Huntington (5-7-4, 1-4-3 CL) on Saturday to take on the Foresters at 2:00 pm in the final match of the regular season. The Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals will begin on October 29.
