INDIANAPOLIS – Taylor men's soccer player Gabe Saliba has been named Crossroads League Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Saliba tallied four goals and dished out two assists last week, leading the Trojans to an 8-0 win over Saint Francis and a 4-1 Senior Night win against Huntington. Saliba set a career-high with two goals and five points in the USF win and matched that career-high with the same stat line in the victory over Huntington.
The player-of-the-week award is the first of Saliba's career.
The Trojans (6-10-2, 4-5 CL) will be back in action on Saturday when the team travels to Mishawaka, Indiana, to take on Bethel (11-6-1, 6-2-1 CL) in the Crossroads League Quarterfinals at 7:00 pm.
