Learfield Sports Directors Cup Standings

CLEVELAND – The first set of Learfield Sports Director's Cup Standings was announced recently, with Taylor ranked No. 12 in the NAIA after the conclusion of the cross country championships.

Taylor opened No. 12 in the rankings following a pair of top-20 showings from its men's and women's cross country programs at the 2016 NAIA National Championships on November 19. The men's team finished 18th overall, with the women's team taking 19th.

Taylor earned 111.0 points in the first set of standings and was one of only eight schools in the NAIA to place both cross country teams inside the top-20 at NAIA Nationals. TU was also the highest rated Crossroads League institution on the list.

The Learfield Sports Director's Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 12 sports.
