FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Taylor men's track and field team continued its indoor season on Saturday at Indiana Tech as the Trojans competed in the Classic Products Warrior Invitational.
Taylor's Caleb Anthony turned in one of the highlight performances for the Trojans on Saturday as the freshman finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with an NAIA National Championship B-Standard qualifying time of 8.38.
Freshman Drew LeFever also enjoyed a successful collegiate debut with a sixth place finish in the shot put. LeFever managed a mark of 13.86 meters while Taylor's Harry Dantona claimed 11th with a mark of 13.10 meters.
TU's Leslie Romer, who qualified for the NAIA National Championship last season, eased back into competition with a 7.19 time in the 60 meter dash while sophomore Coty Willis finished just behind Romer at 7.20.
The Trojans will now take a break before returning to action on January 28th at the Grand Valley State Invitational.
