MARION, Ind. – Taylor's 4x800-meter relay team punched its ticket to the NAIA Indoor National Championships on Saturday as the Taylor women's track and field team enjoyed a solid day on the track and the Indiana Wesleyan Classic.

The Taylor 4x800-meter relay team punched its ticket to the NAIA Indoor National Championships with an A standard time of 9:38.34. The TU squad of Rachel Blagg, Margie Crosby, Anna Souzis, and Naomi Noyes claimed the top spot in the race.

Blagg, Crosby, and Noyes teamed up with Mae Elizabeth Gimre in the distance medley relay and, despite a quick turnaround on the track following the 4x800-meter relay, took the top spot in the race and nearly hit the NAIA B standard with a time of 12:39.26.

Plenseh-Tay Sakeuh continued her stellar sophomore campaign with a victory in the 60-meter hurdles. Sakeuh's time of 9.06 met the NAIA B standard.

Sakeuh also placed third in the long jump with a mark of 5.39 meters while fellow sophomore Miriam Wood claimed the top spot in the triple jump at 10.74 meters.

Sophomore Anna Souzis turned in a strong performance in the 800-meters, posting a time of 2:29.51 en route to a fourth place finish.

Sophomore Michelle Franch added a third place finish in the 5,000-meters with a time of 19:20.91.

Brianna Jordahl led a group of six Trojan competitors in the shot put with a sixth place finish after a toss of 11.50 meters while Megan Bean took eighth place for Taylor in the weight throw with a mark of 13.60 meters.
