INDIANAPOLIS – The Crossroads League announced its first Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week award of the season on Monday, handing the honor to Taylor's Logan Rodgers after the senior southpaw picked up a win and a save during TU's five-game Georgia trip.
Rodgers only allowed one hit in his two appearances and did not yield a run, posting a 0.00 earned-run average, a 0.60 WHIP and a .091 average against over the 3.1 innings of relief work against Reinhardt and Toccoa Falls. The southpaw also fanned three of the 13 batters he faced.
The honor is the third for Rodgers in his four-year career on the bump for the Trojans and ups Taylor's 2016-2017 total of MSFA and Crossroads League Player-of-the-Week honors to 35.
Rodgers and Taylor (3-4) will host IUSB for a three game set at Winterholter Field on February 17 and 18.
