JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Taylor sophomore Margie Crosby capped off the TU women's track and field team's performance at the 2017 Indoor National Championships with a stellar performance in the finals of the 600-meters on Saturday.
Crosby, who had already ran the semifinals for TU's distance medley relay team and the 600-meters as well as the semifinals and finals of the Trojan 4x800-meter relay team, put on a gutsy performance on Saturday afternoon as the sophomore posted a school-record time of 1:36.47 to claim fourth place and earn All-American honors in the 600-meters.
Crobsy's gutsy performance earned the Columbia, Missouri native her second All-American honor of the weekend following Taylor's fifth place finish in the 4x800-meter relay.
The Taylor women's track and field team finished the championships with 15 points, earning Taylor a tie for 20th in the team standings. Taylor's 15 points was the most scored by Crossroads League team and helped TU secure it's best team finish at the indoor national championships since at least 2009.
