NAIA Top-25 Poll

KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released its third Top-25 Poll of the 2017 season on Tuesday, with Taylor remaining in the receiving votes section for a second-straight poll.


TU earned 17 points in the poll, up from the four points it received in the previous ratings. The Trojans were joined in the rankings by fellow Crossroads League member, No. 4 Marian.


The Trojans have won 20 of their past 23 contests and rank inside the top-25 of the NAIA in hits (388), batting average (.336), doubles per game (1.9), home runs per game (0.8) and slugging percentage (.497).


RV Taylor (28-13, 20-6 CL) is set to host the fourth-ranked Knights (34-2, 25-1 CL) at Gudakunst Field for two games on Thursday at 4:00 pm in a clash between the top-two teams in the Crossroads League standings. MU swept the Trojans, 10-4 and 6-0, in the first matchup between these two squads on March 16 at Marian.
