GULF SHORES, Ala. – Hannah Schroder claimed the first NAIA All-American honor of her career in her final race at Taylor by claiming fifth in the marathon at the 2017 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.
Schroder finished at 3:16:47.80 and excelled in the grueling conditions, finishing just over seven minutes off Taylor's best time in program history. Only 38-of-47 competitors were able to finish the race, with 13 crossing under the 3:30 mark and just five finishing under 3:20.
Schroder was the lone All-American on the women's side at the outdoor meet, scoring four points for TU. Schroder joined Matt Hall and Caleb Anthony to give Taylor three All-American honors on Saturday.
