KANSAS CITY – The Taylor University men's cross country team will open the 2017 season ranked No. 15 in the nation, as announced by the NAIA Top-25 Preseason Poll on Wednesday evening.
The Trojans claimed 297 points in the ratings, boosting TU up three spots from its standing in the 2016 postseason poll. TU was joined by No. 12 Marian and RV Indiana Wesleyan in representing the Crossroads League in the preseason rankings.
The preseason rating extends TU's streak of 29-straight polls inside the NAIA Top-25, after the Trojans went 81-15 in 2016 and scored a third-straight year with a top-three league finish and a top-20 national showing.
No. 15 Taylor will open its 2017 season at the Indiana Wesleyan Invite on September 8.
