KANSAS CITY – The Taylor University women's cross country team will open the 2017 season ranked No. 14 in the nation, as announced by the NAIA Top-25 Preseason Poll on Wednesday evening.
The Trojans claimed 326 points in the poll and climbed five positions from its spot in the 2016 Postseason Poll. Taylor was the top-ranked Crossroads League team in the rankings and was joined by No. 19 Indiana Wesleyan and RV Marian in the preseason ratings.
TU has now been ranked inside the Top-25 in 38-consecutive polls. The Trojans went 101-7 last season, won a fourth-straight Crossroads League Championship and finished among the top-20 at NAIA Nationals for the fourth year in a row.
No. 14 Taylor will open its 2017 season at the Indiana Wesleyan Invite on September 8.
