INDIANAPOLIS – Taylor men's soccer player Drew Sezonov has been named Crossroads League Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Sezonov logged 200 minutes in the net over two contests for the Trojans last week, allowing just one goal and collecting 10 saves, including a career-high seven saves in TU's draw with Saint Francis (IL). The junior also notched the first shutout of his career in Taylor's 4-0 win over Trinity Christian.
The player-of-the-week award is the first of Sezonov's career.
The Trojans (2-0-1) will be back in action on Saturday when the team travels to Fort Wayne for a matchup with RV Indiana Tech (0-1) at 4:00 pm.
