UPLAND, Ind. - The TU women's tennis team landed their first league victory on Wednesday night by downing the Bethel Pilots 7-2. The Trojans are now 2-0 on the season heading into the month of September.
The Trojans were able to secure five of the six singles matches, all of which were clinched in two-set matches. Mikayla Schultz was particularly impressive, winning over Abby VanDiver 6-2, 6-0. Also picking up wins for Taylor were Molly Fletchall, Taelor Grose, Katelyn Gray and Molly Pile.
In doubles, Taylor took the first two matches 8-1 and 8-2 thanks to the play of the partners of Fletchall/Schultz and Courtney Clark/Grose.
