AVON, Ohio – Three days after turning in the eighth-fastest individual time in the history of the Taylor women's cross country program in her first collegiate race, Sarah Harden was named the Crossroads League Female Runner of the Week.

Harden topped all Crossroads League performers in the field of 115 and claimed fourth-place overall with a time of 18:31.7. In addition to being the sixth-best time in TU history, the mark made Harden the 23rd individual in program history to run a sub-19:00 time for the Trojans.

As a team, Taylor claimed eight of the top-19 spots in the individual standings, running away with the team title with a time of 94:01 for the sixth-best team mark in program history. TU ended with 32 points for a 52-point gap on second-place and No. 19-ranked IWU.

Harden joined Hunter Smith of the men's cross country team and Haley Harrell of the volleyball team in earning a weekly honor from the Crossroads League, as Taylor has now claimed five weekly honors so far during the 2017-2018 campaign.

No. 14 Taylor (8-0) and Harden will return to the course on September 15 to compete in the Crossroads League Preview in Carmel, Indiana at 3:00 pm.
