UPLAND, Ind. - The Taylor men's tennis team dropped a close decision to Huntington (5-2; 4-1 CL) on Tuesday, falling 6-3 to the Foresters. With the loss, TU sits at 2-4 on the season and 2-3 in league action.
The Trojans had success in the bottom of both the doubles and the singles lineups, winning in the No. 3 doubles slot and the No. 4 and No. 5 singles positions. Paired up for the first time this season, Salvador Lo Cascio and Jacob Scott produced a dominant 8-1 win in doubles while Jake Herbruck and Stephen All both took care of their HU counterparts in singles.
Two key matches that might have turned the tables in the contest were three-set matches in the No. 3 and No. 6 slots, both of which went Huntington's way.
Next up, Taylor will compete at the ITA Regional scheduled to start on Thursday.
