WINONA LAKE, Ind. - The Taylor Trojans (4-4, 4-3 CL) picked up a key Crossroads League victory on Wednesday night over Grace College (2-4, 2-4 CL) 6-3. The win is TU's second consecutive win, which bumps them up into fifth place in league standings with two more Crossroads League matches left on the docket.

TU got off to a great start in the match by picking up two wins on the doubles court, both of which came on tiebreakers. Jake Herbruck and Alex Jung landed a 9-8 (7) win in the No. 1 doubles slot while Andre Danelli and Christen Jacquottet teamed up for a 9-8 (6) decision, putting the Trojans in the driver's seat heading into singles.

The Trojans made quick work of the Lancers in the bottom half of the order as Herbruck, Stephen All and Victor Cheng each retired their GC opponent in two-set matches while Salvador Lo Cascio landed a win in a come-from-behind effort in the No. 2 slot. Although he came up short, Jacquottet put together a solid performance against GC's Danila Kourkovlin who was the runner-up last weekend at the ITA Regionals.

"This was a great win for us on the road," praised Coach Don Taylor. "Grace is a team we are running neck and neck with in the league standings. In the match, we started out great by winning two of three on the doubles courts, and I think those wins gave us confidence for the rest of the competition."

This weekend, Taylor will make their third road trip of the week, making their way up to Goshen College (4-4, 3-3 CL) for an 11:00 a.m. battle with the Maple Leafs.
