FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Taylor men's tennis team closed their 2017 regular-season schedule on Saturday, falling 7-2 to the Warriors of Indiana Tech (3-1). Taylor (4-8, 4-5 CL) will now gear up for the Crossroads League Tournament, which kicks off next week.
TU was unable to pick up a win in doubles but found success in the bottom of the singles lineup. Picking up wins in the No. 5 and No. 6 slots were Stephen All and Victor Cheng. Both All and Cheng downed their counterparts in straight sets.
"We struggled again in doubles and got off to a slow start, but we had competitive matches on the singles court," said Coach Don Taylor "We need to focus on our doubles to take some pressure off our singles moving forward."
The Crossroads League Postseason Tournament gets underway on Tuesday, October 3rd. TU's quarterfinal contest will be a head-to-head match against Huntington (9-3, 7-2 CL), which will be hosted by the Foresters with a start time of 3:15 p.m.
