MARION, Ind. - The Taylor women's tennis team saw their fall season come to an end in the semifinal round of the Crossroads League Tournament to top-seeded Indiana Wesleyan. Taylor (10-4, 6-3 CL) fell to IWU (13-0, 9-0 CL) by a final tally of 5-1 in a match that was called after the fifth and match-winning point was secured.
In doubles, TU picked up an early win with Taelor Grose and Courtney Clark landing an 8-5 victory in the No. 2 position. However, the Trojans did not have enough firepower as the Wildcats claimed wins on the No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 singles courts. Coupling those matches with their two wins in doubles, the Wildcats were able to close the contest and earn a spot in the league championship match.
Taylor tennis finishes the fall season with an overall record of 10-4 and will return to action this spring.
