INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The sixth-seeded Taylor Trojans fell victim to the second-seeded Knights of Marian University in the semifinals of the Crossroads League Tournament on Thursday night, bringing the men's tennis fall schedule to a close. Taylor (5-9, 4-5 CL) fell 5-1 to Marian (10-2, 7-2 CL) in a match that was called after the fifth and match-winning point was secured.
The Trojans picked up a win in doubles with Andre Danelli and Christen Jacquottet besting their MU counterparts 8-6 on court two. In the No. 3 doubles contest, Stephen All and Jacob Scott fell just short, dropping their match 9-8 (6).
The Knights wasted little time closing the contest, winning the first three singles contests that were completed in the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 slots.
TU men's tennis finished the fall season with a 5-9 mark and will return to the courts this spring.
