Named after longtime Taylor baseball coach Larry Winterholter, Winterholter Field serves as the home to the Taylor baseball team. Thanks to a large gift from a young Taylor baseball alumnus, the complex underwent a major renovation in the summer of 2012, becoming the first artificial surface field at any NAIA institution in the state of Indiana.

The artificial playing surface provides the TU baseball program with a beautiful playing surface that is mostly unaffected by wet weather, allowing Taylor to play and practice more often in spite of the weather.

The renovations also included new sunken dugouts, a new backstop and netting, as well as a new scoreboard featuring inning-by-inning scoring, also made possible by the generous donations of alumni.

The updates continued in the spring of 2015, with lights being installed to allow for fewer missed afternoon classes for the student-athletes.
