Holly Motheral
Head Coach - 2nd Season

Holly Motheral begins her second season at the helm of Taylor University volleyball program after taking over the reigns of the NAIA's all-time winningest program in August of 2013.

Motheral led the Trojans to a 19-12 record, including a 13-5 mark in Crossroads League play in her first season. Taylor finished third in the Crossroads League and advanced to the league tournament semifinals.
Motheral spent the 2012 season as an assistant coach at Montreat, leading the Cavaliers to a 22-13 overall record and a berth in the championship match of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament.
Prior to her stay at Montreat, Motheral served as an assistant coach for two seasons at Rio Grande, helping the Red Storm to a 43-29 record and back-to-back appearances in the semifinal round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.
Motheral garnered further experience with two seasons as the head coach of the Southern United Volleyball Club during her time at Rio Grande, while also serving as the program’s camp co-director in the summers of 2010 and 2011.
Motheral completed a master’s degree in educational leadership from Rio Grande in 2012, after graduating from Houghton College in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.
During her playing career at Houghton, Motheral excelled on and off the court with the Highlanders as a two-time All-American Mideast Conference performer and a three-time member of the Dean’s List. The middle-blocker capped her career at Houghton by being named as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete All-American following the 2009 campaign.
