The 2016-2017 year is the 22nd at Taylor University for Amy Stucky, who currently serves as the Associate Athletics Director for the Trojans. During the 2015-2016 year, Stucky filled the role of interim Athletics Director for TU.
Stucky’s primary duty is to provide oversight of day-to-day operations within the Athletics Department, in addition to the handling of technology needs, gameday event management staff and assisting with policy and procedure development.
During Stucky’s tenure, she has played a major role in the design, planning and development of a host of projects that have led to tremendous growth in facilities, programs and personnel. In 2006 and 2015, Stucky had an instrumental role with research, development and implementation of athletics department comprehensive reviews and has continued to play an active part in progressively improving Taylor Athletics.
Stucky is in her ninth year serving on the University Planning Council, as well as the University Assessment Council. Stucky is also a member of the faculty as an assistant professor in the Physical Education and Human Performance Department.
Stucky graduated from Taylor in 1992 with a degree in biology and a specialization in athletic training, before earning a master’s degree from Ball State University in higher education administration in 1998.
Stucky worked for Fox Valley Orthopedics in Elgin, Illinois as an athletic trainer for two years, before returning to Taylor to serve as an athletic trainer for 13 years. During that time, Stucky also served in the role of Assistant Athletics Director, prior to being named the associate athletics director in 2005.
Stucky resides in Muncie, Indiana, where she is an active member of Hazlewood Christian Church.
